Mindfull or Mindful?

Mindfulness to me is a theme that has always been there in my creative practice and my personal life. It may not have always been the main event but it's always been ready to take to the stage when I feel the need. The theme of mindfulness and taking care of the mind and body was the theme of my BA Final Major Project back in 2017. For this I created a brand called Tula (meaning 'balance' in Sanskrit the ancient Indian language) which was a subscription box service that helped the customer care for their mind and body using the Chakra energy points through products (both body care, clothing and fitness products).

Over the years I have taken various approaches to mindfulness and now seem to be approaching a more casual take on it. During my BA I became consumed with the theme of the mind and the body. The concept of the Chakras, crystals, meditating, energy fields, Law of Attraction and Reiki all featured in my BA research book and made their way into my daily life through that journey. Not to say that this was a bad development. Now years on, I've found that my partner and a very close friend are both very into these themes as well meaning that I am constantly surrounded by these familiar themes.

Of recent myself and my partner have been for self care sessions including a Chakra balancing session and a Reiki session which was then followed by an Angel card reading and the choosing of a small crystal necklace that we could keep. It has been these sessions and interacting with the people around me that have yet again peaked this long standing interest. I now wear two of these crystal necklaces everyday and have notes and photos in my phone of mantras and messages from cards that have come up during readings. I have to say, it's nice to be around this again after, if I'm honest, obsessing with the theme too much and putting myself off areas of the theme for a while.

It was a nice feeling to be familiar with the theme of Rowan's most recent lecture. I feel I interacted even more during that lecture than in the previous ones with book recommendations, a chat about my BA project, Tula, and sharing my thoughts on what mindfulness means to me. This theme shares many of the same aspects as sustainability, another theme incredibly close to my heart. After Rowan asked whether I would be bringing this mindfulness theme through into my MA, I have to say, I'd not mixed my two themes of mindfulness and sustainability together properly as of yet, at least not in an MA project context. But now looking at this as a totality the two themes go hand in hand. This is only proven by The Colour Garden project that Rowan worked on herself and shared during the session.

Could my BA Final Major Project, Tula, be extended and expanded into my MA with added themes and meanings?
